Misticismo Visivo is the visual research project of Riccardo Casinelli, a Rome-based graphic designer and visual artist. His work investigates the concept of signs and the perception of shapes, signs and colours. How these interact with each other and how each generates its meaning. He’s also the co-founder and lead designer at Mistaker an independent graphic design studio specialising in visual design, infographics and motion graphics with Martina Tariciotti.
He’s a former information designer at La Repubblica and L'Espresso and teaches infographics and applied semiotics at Istituto Europeo di Design in Torino.
In 2020 he started the project ROMBO™ (●__●), an ongoing research project about monsters and visual perception.
